Position: Electrical / Electronic Assembly Technician

PLASMIONIQUE Inc, established in 1999, is a company specialized in design and manufacturing of turnkey systems for advance surface engineering and thin film coatings, using plasma, laser and high vacuum techniques. The company is situated in Varennes, 25 km from Montreal, and has numerous innovative products, and large number of national and international clients. To respond to increased demand for its products, the company intends to expand its production capabilities.

A position was created for an Electrical /Electronic technician. 

-    Machining and assembly of electrical cabinets and electromechanical systems.
-    Wiring of electrical cabinets based on electrical schematics.
-    Building electrical cables.
-    PCB assembly.
-    Ensure that cabling and wiring satisfies requirements of Canadian Electrical Code and our internal quality standards.
-    Test, calibrate and debug analog and digital circuits.
-    Maintain inventory of electrical components.
-    Participate in design tasks under the supervision of an engineer.
-    Participate in writing and testing control system software.
Experience/ Qualifications:
-    College/CEGEP or technical training in the field of electrical/electronics engineering technology or similar background.
-    Experience with electrical wiring, cabling, and soldering.
-    Knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code.
-    Experience with 2D and 3D CAD would be an asset.
-    Experience with programming microprocessors and/or PLCs would be an asset.

Position:  Physicist or Engineering Physicist for R&D Laboratory Assistance

Starting date:  April 2019 or until the position is filled.


Plasmionique is seeking a candidate with Physics or Engineering Physics degree to join its growing dynamic multidisciplinary team and act as a resource person for the integration and testing of the systems, as well as participate in internal and collaborative research projects. The candidate must be organized and able to work within a multidisciplinary team.

 Experience/ Qualifications:

  • University degree in Engineering Physics or Physics (BSc., MSc, PhD)

  • Experience with Plasma Processing Tools and Applications is an asset

  • Experience or interest with microprocessor programming and PLC programming

  • Experience or with LabVIEW programming would be an asset

  • All levels of previous work experience will be considered
