  Plasmionique welcomes Dr. Sean William Wolfe to its R&D Team. Prior to joining Plasmionique Dr. Wolfe was a member of Quantum Technology group in BC, Canada. Dr. Wolfe is a Plasma Physicist by training. He received his PhD from the University of Saskatchewan in 1987, and was a member of research team on Joint European Tokamak, in UK until 1992. He also has been a visiting scientist for three year on JT60 project in Japan. 

Plasmionique shipped a MAGNION SPT102 deposition system to the University of Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris, France.

Plasmionique is the proud sponsor of the Canadian Association of Physicists' Plasma Physics Division's "Best Student Presentation Prize" at CAP 2007 congress. The annual congress will be held in Saskatoon, June 17-20, 2007

Plasmionique joined the Canadian and Québec Nanotech mission to Japan, which took place February 18-19. A visit to AIST research Facilities in Tsukuba was among the mission activities.

The delegation also participated at the Nanotech 2007 exhibition, at the Big site, Tokyo, February 20 to 23, where they showcased Canadian and Québec's products and activities in the Nanotechnology field.

Mr. Kpetsu, who studied at École Polytechnique de Montréal and Laval University (COPL) for his B.Eng. and M.Sc., will be working on development of processes for applications of thin film coatings and synthesized materials

Plasmionique is pleased to welcome Mr. Carlos Robado to its R&D team. Mr. Robado's brings his organisational skills and his indepth knowledge of R&D laboratory practices into Plasmionique's Group. Mr Robado received his MSc degree in Thin Film Physics from the University of Quebec at Trois-Rivières, in 1996. Prior to joining the Plasmionique team, Mr Robado was occupied as a professor of Physics and Technology at College André Laurendeau of Montreal, where he wasresponsible for training and development of new generation of laboratory technicians in the field of Technology of Physics and Optics.

Plasmionique welcomes Dr. Sergiy Navala to its R&D team. Dr. Navala is a process scientist. Prior to joining Plasmionique Dr. Navala was member of Samsung Company's R&D team, in South Korea, for over four years. Dr. Navala was a research scientist at Cybernetics Institute of National Academy of Sciences, Kiev, Ukraine from 1989 to 2000.

It is a great pleasure to announce that Dr. Pawel Jedrzejowski will join Plasmionique's R&D team as of September 2005. Dr. Jedrzejowski, a graduate of École Polytechnique de Montréal, is the recipient of NSERC-IRF Award.

The judging panel for PLASMIONIQUE's Prize for the Best Student Presentation in General Plasma Theory and Application, at CAP Congress in Vancouver, selected CRISTINA SERBANESCU, a PhD candidate from the University of Alberta, as the winner of the competition. Miss. Serbanescu received a $300.00 and a certificate in recognition of her accomplishment. The title of Miss. Serbanescu's talk was "HOT ELECTRONS AND keV X-RAYS FROM FEMTOSECOND LASER PRODUCED MICRO PLASMAS
The judging panel also congratulated Mr. STEPHEN LIVINGSTON, PhD Candidate, from University of Saskatchewan, for his presentation titled " IN SEARCH OF HIGH FREQUENCY FLUCTUATIONS THROUGH MICROWAVE SCATTERING IN STOR-M TOKAMAK", which was judged a close second place in the competition. An independent committee for the CAP Best Student Presentation amongst all disciplines had also selected Miss. Serbanescu's and Mr. Livingston's presentations amongst the eight finalists.
